Day 1 : Errachidia Airport - Merzouga Desert
Your 3-day tour from Errachidia to Fes begins with a private pickup from Moulay Ali Cherif Airport or your accommodation. As many flights arrive later in the day, this stage focuses on a comfortable transfer to Merzouga.
Along the way, enjoy the changing landscapes of southeastern Morocco, from rocky plains to lush palm groves and oasis scenery. Upon arrival in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara dunes, check in to your hotel. The evening is free to relax and prepare for the desert adventure ahead.

Day 2 : Explore Merzouga area - Erg Chebbi - Camel Trek and Night at desert Camp
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day 4×4 excursion around Merzouga, offering a deeper discovery of the Sahara beyond its dunes. Visit the oasis of Hassi Labied and the seasonal Lake Sriji, known for its peaceful scenery and migratory birds. Continue to Khamlia village to experience traditional Gnawa music, then explore the M’ifis mining area, rich in minerals and fossils. Wake up early to climb a nearby dune and witness the spectacular sunrise over the desert. As the sun rises, the dunes gradually change color from soft morning tones to warm golden hues.
After breakfast and a refreshing shower at the camp, you will return to the starting point either by camel or by 4×4 vehicle, depending on your preference.
The journey toward Fes begins with a scenic drive through the beautiful Ziz Valley, where thousands of palm trees line the riverbanks, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding desert landscape.
As the road climbs into the Middle Atlas Mountains, the scenery shifts dramatically. Desert views give way to green hills, forests, and cooler mountain climates. After a stop for lunch, continue toward the cedar forest of Azrou, where you may see Barbary macaques living among the ancient cedar trees.
Before reaching Fes, you will stop in the charming town of Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture, clean streets, and cool mountain air. Often referred to as “Little Switzerland,” it offers a surprising contrast to the desert landscapes experienced earlier in the journey.
